Don’t Feed Him That!

As much as people may think they are, remember: animals are not people. Sure they have some human traits and require many things that children may need, such as grooming, potty training (housebreaking), food, water, and teaching them right and wrong things to do, but that’s where the similarity stops. They aren’t actually your child, so a lot of the foods that you may feed them, aren’t necessarily good for your dog, cat, or bird.
The most widespread food no-no for pets is chocolate. Sure, this is my favorite treat, but I make sure to keep it away from my pets. Why is it so horrible? Well, it stimulates the nervous system and the heart in a not so good way. It induces vomiting, increased thirst, restlessness, agitation, increased or irregular heartbeat, increased body temperature, tremors, and seizures. Dogs are more likely to gobble up large quantities, so be sure that when you’re nibbling on a chocolate chip cookie or the like, and little Dukey is sitting there staring at you with those pleading brown eyes of his, you stay resilient and say NO.
Another food item that’s hazardous to dogs and cats are grapes and raisins. Now, this is news to me. I actually found this out the other day, just as I was about to throw a grape to my dog. My dad stopped me and told me that he’d heard that it’s damaging to dogs. He’s absolutely right; they damage a dogs kidneys. I don’t know why, I’m not a vet. I’m just a blogger put here to bring you this information.
Can you name any others that you’ve heard about?

Now, I’ve known of sales around the holidays, but there are actually some days of the weeks and certain months where it’s better to buy a particular product. With the way that people are shipping out products these days it seems almost impossible right?
Well, on my daily romp around the internet, I came across a site that details which products would be better to buy on certain days, and in certain months.
It listed certain tips like airline tickets tend to be least expensive to buy on Tuesday afternoon through Thursday. Expectedly, the worst days are Saturday and Sunday. Jewelry sales are common, except around major gift giving holidays. So you may want to see if your beau will take an IOU if you want to save some extra dough.
Here’s what they list for the month of March: Digital cameras, humidifiers, small consumer electronics (MP3 players, DVD and Blu-ray players, etc.), TVs, winter coats, winter sports gear.
Have you spotted any really good deals?
